My name is Richard Stephens and I am the Co-Founder and CEO of The 3^rd Realm. Gaming, whether it is on a PC, Console or Tabletop, has always been a passion of mine.

After the birth of my first child, I suddenly found myself with all my newfound responsibilities unable to find the time to play as many games as I wanted. By the time my daughter started going to Pre-K and I felt family life was starting to settle into a manageable routine, my favorite local gaming store that I had played at previously closed, and it left a void that was difficult to fill.

There were no other local venues that could fit in with my schedule, so I started looking at how I could bring gaming to my home. I found there were limited options when it came to gaming furniture. Tables were either super expensive, completely bespoke or very flimsy looking. I couldn’t justify spending 5-figures on something when I had a daughter I wanted to spoil, and I didn’t want to invest in cheap products that had bad reviews.

After long discussions with my wife about the huge gap in the market in terms of both price and functionality of existing gaming tables, she said I should go make one myself.

I had no idea where to start, but she encouraged me to follow my dream.

Together we designed a product that evolved from the original concept in my head into what we have today: The 3^rd Realm X-1 Gaming Table. So now comes the tough part: getting others to believe in the dream we brought into reality.
